I can't imagine that Voyeur Boy could have seen that much considering it was just the little toe on the foot away from the window—it might have just looked like Claire's into cutting rather than being anything obviously unnatural. I think he fled because he was spotted.

Claire cutting off her toe was brilliant, if painful. Good lord, I do not miss being a teenager. (Hands up everyone who absent-mindedly gave themselves horrible bangs in high school and then wished for regeneration powers!)

Niki and Jessica were twins, yes? Perhaps twins with powers get an extra level of bond? That would explain Maya and Alejandro pulling a Wonder Twins, and Niki and Jessica bonding after Jessica died. (Did they ever explain how Jessica died? If they did I don't remember.)
Everyone does in fact seem to be way hotter this season. (Though Nathan seriously needs to shave the breakup beard. Or don't let the network dye it, cause I seriously think they did. Would have been way hotter with the gray in it.)
