Speaking of cockroaches, did anyone else see TDS episode where he interviewed the guy who wrote about what happens to the world once humans are extinct? Current theory is cockroaches thrive on human garbage, and once we go, their star dwindles a bit too. heh.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!

I just finished mainlining Season One on DVD, and I am wholly, utterly in love with this show. I'm really looking forward to being able to flail about it this season!

As they also managed to thrive for 300 million years before there was human garbage, I suspect they'll make do.
Welcome to the flail, Kristin!

Heh ... heh ... heh ... ONE OF US! ONE OF US!!! Knew you'd love the show.
I've only watched the first 5 episodes, but they've played up the cockroach imagery fairly consistently, starting with the first scene.
Yeah, and then there's Mohinder's cockroach speech, about how if anything was created in God's image, it was them. Which has chilly implications about our Mr. Sylar.
IIRC, it's not food cockroaches need from humans, it's artificial heat. Without humans, no more roaches in NYC, but plenty of cockroaches in the tropics.
Well, perhaps global warming will help them out with that.
I was just about to post that very thing, Jessica.
Add me to the list of those who have recently mainlined all of S1. I am still wibbling over Mr. Bennet's goodbye to Claire on the bridge.
Yep. That got my vote for Best Tearjerker in the Tubeys, as it actually drew real tears from me, which is pretty rare.
