Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!
If they didn't want cradles to be robbed they'd lock them.
We're rewatching "Heroes" from the beginning (courtesy of the nifty new DVD set) and we're up through "Five Years Gone."
A lot of things strike me on rewatch ... most notably how, when watched together, I really don't notice when characters disappear for an episode or so, and how things don't seem to meander as much. Everything seems tighter, and more tense.
Also, as I'm watching it unfold, it becomes much more clearly how the ultimate victory over Sylar unfolds from Isaac's death -- the passing of the comic page to Future!Mohinder, then on to Hiro. Which of course, is only part of the puzzle. There's no one key component to stopping Sylar, except perhaps Peter himself. Even Linderman inadvertantly plays a part in stopping the explosion -- his manipulations inadvertantly bring Nikki onto the scene, which gives Peter the power boost he needs. Ultimatley, it's still unclear what was going on in Nathan's head, although I'll still bet he was gambling on an "everybody wins" scenario, and intended for both himself and Peter to survive that explosion.
Very much enjoying the rewatch. Want new episodes now.
Here's my question. I am assuming that Sylar will survive the conclusion of last season. So how does he do it? He doesn't have Claire's powers.
Y'know, that idea bugged me more until the rewatch, especially watching all the cockroach imagery around him. Fact is, he's just a hard bugger to kill.
(But I can't help wondering if he'll have some help surviving.)

used his telekinesis to keep himself from bleeding?

I've only watched the first 5 episodes, but they've played up the cockroach imagery fairly consistently, starting with the first scene.
It's true, they have and I kind of lost track of that.
Speaking of cockroaches, did anyone else see TDS episode where he interviewed the guy who wrote about what happens to the world once humans are extinct? Current theory is cockroaches thrive on human garbage, and once we go, their star dwindles a bit too. heh.
t bounces into thread
I just finished mainlining Season One on DVD, and I am wholly, utterly in love with this show. I'm really looking forward to being able to flail about it this season!
