Awww. And it's got a nice little soundtrack, too. John Hiatt!

Now that I'm unemployed, I'd better get serious about an exercise program. I used my between-contracts time in the 90s to get in the best shape of my life to date, so it might be a left-handed gift from my layoff. Plus I know from experience that it does good things for my mental state and helps shape otherwise shapeless days....
Consuela, you're running up and down hills? "only" 3.8 miles of them? Geez. You know you're burning a lot more calories and building more muscle on hills than flats, so nearly 4 miles of that is pretty impressive, at least it is to me, a person who can run maybe 20 feet.
I was just thinking that I've never, in all my life, run an entire mile without stopping. This might be the right time to start that running program that others here have had good results with. If I can remember the name of it... Cool Running?
I think that it was " Croatoan " - so not new but that there was a promo for the next new one at the end.
Running can be pretty hard on the joints, Theo, so take that into consideration. I think swimming is much nicer, but then, I hate to run. Not that I currently do either.
It is a lovely summery weekend. We spent all day yesterday outside inthe yard, and plan to do the same today, pretty much, but possibly with more suncreen and hats.
Theodosia, it was Cool Running [link]
That walk/run interval thing really works. If you don't have a watch with a timer, you can always go by songs on the iPod - walk one, run one, walk one, run two, etc...
Happy April Fool's Day Buffistas.
Brought to you by the committe to turn this sucker over.
Timelies all!
After we get lunch and groceries, I'll use the treadmill. Only used it one time last week, due to schedule and laziness. Passover wipes out Monday and Tuesday, but I'll hopefully get Wed. and Thurs. Haven't been back swimming yet, since it's more effort than using the treadmill. (Not in terms of the actual exersize, but rather in terms of the before and after)
