Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Baking usually makes me feel warmer.

I am watching Thursday's Supernatural. I keep pausing because I find it disturbing.

Compassionately intolerant

Did lots of errands today, including hitting the library...audiobooks rule!...getting fit for a new pair of running shoes..the reason for which will be apparent in a sec and carousing around REI. There was a bookstore, a fabric store and some Chinese food wedged in there too, but I digress.

This is sort of cross-posty from Tech.

I need advice on pedometers. I have committed to walking the Marine Corps Marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and I am starting my training nowish.

Since my birthday is coming up, I've been offered a pedo-gift but I'm having trouble choosing the best option. The Nike/iPod synergy seemed a good choice until we came home and read the reviews.

It doesn't have to be fancy, but I'd like a clock, distance and pace.

Anyone have experience with good ones?

I am watching Thursday's Supernatural. I keep pausing because I find it disturbing.

And, weirdly, I can't remember whether I watched Thursday's Supernatural, and I find that disturbing. I think I thought it wasn't new? Or I'm completely blanking.

ETA: And I know nothing useful about pedometers.

And I seem to be caught up on SPN. So.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so lame. I actually went out tonight, but I'm SO HAPPY to be home already!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It was Croatoan repeating. We're in wanktime hiatus for a while.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Wow. That's an interesting meal.

Well, the garlic was for the bulgogi (Korean bbq sauce: garlic and ginger and soy sauce and white wine and onions and sesame oil, marinading flank steak for as many hours as you can bear to wait). The strawberries were for homemade strawberry shortcake (shortcake out of the New Basics cookbook, natch). Everything turned out awesome.

Tomorrow morning I get to get up early and clean house and bake some MORE so I can host a Firefly-watching brunch. Which will be fun, but I'm sleepy.

I'm also disappointed because I did the math on the trail guide and my "long run" that I've done the past two weekends is only 3.8 miles, even though it takes me nearly an hour, there are so many hills. Damn.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Teacher movies? Make me cry.

Sports movies? Make me cry.

Parent issues that get resolved at the end movies? Make me cry.

The Rookie is the trifecta and I am now a sopping wet pile of goo.
