Running can be pretty hard on the joints, Theo, so take that into consideration. I think swimming is much nicer, but then, I hate to run. Not that I currently do either.

It is a lovely summery weekend. We spent all day yesterday outside inthe yard, and plan to do the same today, pretty much, but possibly with more suncreen and hats.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That walk/run interval thing really works. If you don't have a watch with a timer, you can always go by songs on the iPod - walk one, run one, walk one, run two, etc...

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

After we get lunch and groceries, I'll use the treadmill. Only used it one time last week, due to schedule and laziness. Passover wipes out Monday and Tuesday, but I'll hopefully get Wed. and Thurs. Haven't been back swimming yet, since it's more effort than using the treadmill. (Not in terms of the actual exersize, but rather in terms of the before and after)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Happy April Fool's Day!

Anyone know where this tradition originates? Someone must.

Happy April Fool's Day!

I have made sour-cream coffee cake and it's in the oven. However I am skeptical of the Silver Palate people. What does "two cups unshelled pecans, chopped" mean to you?

2 cups whole pecans, which you then chop? Or two cups of chopped pecans? Because I buy TJ's pecan pieces for baking.

... this cake may have way too many nuts in it. Ooops.

The first, I think. But I'm not sure too many nuts is really a possibility, so I wouldn't worry about it.

You chop them with their shells on?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Thanks for the thoughts. Marie (who's been sitting on the desk reading the posts) will take them to Teddy. She's been taking care of him since we got the news. Even Max is being nicer to him.

Tomorrow Teddy goes in for a radiograph or -gram. We'll know more then (we hope) about why he's lost weight.
