Because books.

With our family, I could probably keep a laundress/launderer(?) pretty busy. I'd sure as hell have the dog beds washed every week and keep up better on our bed linens.

Me, too. If we lived closer, Cash and I could share a laundress!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone wanna guess how long after launch until it blows up? Last time it was around 30 seconds, IIRC.

I'm gonna guess that the first stage burn will be fine, but it will fail after that....

I do kinda feel bad.

Guilt sort of cancels evil. How sad.

Oh well - they aborted the launch with a minute and a half to go. They're trying to figure out if they can continue....

Republican sources also disclosed that it is now a virtual certainty that Deputy Attorney General Paul J. McNulty, whose incomplete and inaccurate congressional testimony about the prosecutors helped precipitate the crisis, will also resign shortly. [...]

In a sign of Republican despair, GOP political strategists on Capitol Hill said that it is too late for Gonzales' departure to head off a full-scale Democratic investigation into the motives and timing behind the firing of eight U.S. attorneys.

"Democrats smell blood in the water, and (Gonzales') resignation won't stop them," said a well-connected Republican Senate aide. "And on our side, no one's going to defend him. All we can do is warn Democrats against overreaching."

Apparently there's gonna be a big "document dump" today, which won't be too friendly to Gonzales....

Mike Allen at Politico reports that replacements for Gonzales are being explored.
