What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, asshole....

Republican sources also disclosed that it is now a virtual certainty that Deputy Attorney General Paul J. McNulty, whose incomplete and inaccurate congressional testimony about the prosecutors helped precipitate the crisis, will also resign shortly. [...]

In a sign of Republican despair, GOP political strategists on Capitol Hill said that it is too late for Gonzales' departure to head off a full-scale Democratic investigation into the motives and timing behind the firing of eight U.S. attorneys.

"Democrats smell blood in the water, and (Gonzales') resignation won't stop them," said a well-connected Republican Senate aide. "And on our side, no one's going to defend him. All we can do is warn Democrats against overreaching."

Apparently there's gonna be a big "document dump" today, which won't be too friendly to Gonzales....

Mike Allen at Politico reports that replacements for Gonzales are being explored.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I just checked my work email (wtf?) and learned that we apparently SENT SOMETHING OUT that said (and I quote) "including XXX." We didn't fill it in! Sheesh. Luckily I could answer at least somewhat.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So your office is sending out porn spam now, Jesse?

That would make it way more fun.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My friends are selling their apartment. It's 600 sq. ft. The price?

The crazy part is, that's a REALLY good price for that neighborhood, especially if it's as nice an apartment as they make it sound. (I'm jealous of the bathroom -- radiant floor heating and a Japanese soaking tub??? WANT!)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Seriously! W/D, all new appliances?! I'd pay that!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congratulations, Billytea and Biyi! What beautiful photos! You two look so sweet and happy!

Yay new house, Sue!

One of our journals once, long ago, went out with "XXX"s and author queries still in place in one article. Whenever my boss starts to poke at me for little mistakes, I hold up that issue. It was hers. I win that argument every time.

The apartment is GORGEOUS and TINY. The bathroom is incredible. The only thing I can compare it to is a really cool restaurant -- it's super-designed. But there's no kitchen -- literally, dorm fridge, no oven.

I win that argument every time.

Sweet.

So what's this part about?

Top-line stainless steel kitchen appliances (Meile, U-Line, Gaggenau, Dovedale)

admittedly, I don't know what the other three are-- they could be a toaster oven, rice cooker and hot plate.

I'm sure it's an expensive dorm-size fridge, sink, maybe dishwasher? I don't know what else. But that's (part of) what's making D insane.
