Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We lived in a great brick Victorian when I was a kid in Milwaukee. My parents bought it from the daughter of the guy who built it, who was an old lady in the '60s. It had all kinds of unchanged things--a coal chute and a rootcellar in the basement, only one phone which was in a built-in mahogany phone booth in the hall, a full size built-in safe, AND a secret hiding place. There were bookshelves in the den which had space behind them. The space was probably put there to hide valuables, but there was room for a kid to stand in it. Since getting back there involved removing a huge drawer, we weren't allowed to go there after one exciting visit, but it was cool to know we COULD--you know, if the Nazis came back or something.

Lunar eclipse at tonight for those who will have the sun set or setting between 6:45 and 9:25 EST. And who don't have clouds in the sky.

And it looks like we'll be clouded up.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Too bad she can't do sit-ups to tighten that up.

I've noticed that my one cat that hangs on the door to let me know that it must be opened has really tightened up her formerly sagging belly. Almost inspires me to do some chin-ups myself.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh dear. I ran into Lohmann's, looking for a spring jacket, and came out instead with a bathing suit, a skirt suit, and a dress. They were all good deals, though!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

A monster ate the moon!

oh no Tom! Can you see through the monster's orange flesh to see the moon shining through?

information libertarian

We have just been out in the yard looking at the moon, with a wet pulled-from-the-bath child (in bathrobe.) Came in to warm up and are going back out.

I didn't go out, like a lameass. Ah well.

What I did do is watch more old Homicide, and I forgot that Junior Bunk is Mehki Phifer!
