It's interesting to me how regional sources of heat are. I mean, I get electric heat in someplace like LA, which might need it rarely so it makes sense to avoid providing gas lines. Or gas in NM. But I've never really thought about it before. I know how to deal with gas and electric, but oil tanks? So foreign to me. Boilers and radiators? Eeek!

Another thing I noticed in LA was how crappy people let their rooves get. Cause it doesn't rain THAT often. Whereas in high desert, still, a desert, yeah, rooves matter because of the monsoons in late summer and winter. Or for that matter, insulation. There's crappy insulation in NM, but not near what I saw in LA. We have lots of open-air stuff in NM, but LA totally trumps that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ACT RIGHT, KIDS.

brillig

he just sat and sat and sat at the table and refused to eat until it reached his bedtime.

Ah, my technique to avoid the dreaded creamed corn and the appalling spinach. My poor mother.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My heating is magic. I'm not sure where it comes from.

Now things just get weirder. I sent the guy an application and a link to a National Assoc of Cooperative Housing so he'd now what he was getting into. Now he's responsded by saying that he doesn't think he'd be a good fit for our co-op because of something he read at the link because he's heavily in debt from student loans and they won't even accept monthly payments from him now. I have no idea what he saw, except that we ask for income information.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

he's heavily in debt from student loans and they won't even accept monthly payments from him now

What does that mean? They've already made the payment to Vinnie to go break the guy's kneecaps?

(With apologies to Vinnie....)

He says that they're demanding repayment of the whole thing, which makes it sound like it's gone to collections.

Love the Jesse v. bon bon Liz-Lemmon-off! Actually got to see 30 Rock last night since GA was a rerun. That show is really freakin' funny.

Watched the pilot for Black Donnellys, too, while working from home. That was entertaining enough, for half-watching.

We're actually like renters. Noone gains equity in these kind of housing co-ops, so no mortgage involved.
