Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Good job, Gud.

Not that I actually own any stock, but there was a huge drop today in the markets.

There is still a lot more credit card debt than I would like (I like zero), but at least all of it is at 0% interest.

Mr. T did the same clear-cutting at his Lake Forest (IL) home a few years back, but they didn't have an ordinance against cutting down trees that were on your own property, so he just got a lot of flak from the press and neighbors, but no fines.

City of Atlanta and DeKalb County both have pretty strict tree ordinances. You have to get a permit to cut down a tree if it's healthy and above a specific size.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I know in Weston, MA, there is a city ordinance that you have to have your house screened from the road by trees. Have to. OTOH, you can have whatever kind of house you want, which is why there are gigantic, ugly castles in Weston, MA. You just have to squint really hard through the trees to see them as you drive by. Or, recently, look over the treetops and see the castle spires.
