There is something bizarro about staying with a contractor/builder who is costing you left and right for things like failing to get permits and serious safety issues. I mean, arrogance might have something to do with it (money doesn't matter to me!) but at the same time, you'd hope competence did matter. Sounds like there are a lot of stupids going on.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Mr. T did the same clear-cutting at his Lake Forest (IL) home a few years back, but they didn't have an ordinance against cutting down trees that were on your own property,so he just got a lot of flak from the press and neighbors, but no fines.

I think some fools might have been pitied as well....

like failing to get permits and serious safety issues

You would think those would be some red flags.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The top 11 subway systems in the world.

I'd rate Paris over London, myself. Though they're both awesome.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'd rate Paris over London, myself.

I would too, purely for usability. Every train on its own platform = so much easier to navigate as a tourist. Follow the signs, then get on the train, done.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

A Dinosaur Comics for Teppy: "That verb form is for chumps!"

Btw, have you all noticed how T. Rex kind of talks like Jesse?

Speaking of which, This one's for Jesse

While I'm keeping myself amused..."Hee hee, that's it for science, bitches!"

Now tagless for your comfort.

I prefer London but we have Paris Issues. But we were dodging slow tourists like natives the week we spent in London so I think the Tube is very user friendly.
