Hey. New board.

I am certainly not opposed to it. And as obvious mentorees of the Clinton administration all, it has some serious poetry. I'd take 8 with Gore, 8 with Hil, and 8 with Obama for the second half of my life...

Our wings are not tired.

I thought the translation job was done beautifully, but I kept wanting to see the Geico sytle translation. (It is way past me bedtime folks)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, was that really Clint translating on the fly?

hip deep in pie

I don't know why I was surprised that Clint could speak Italian, but I was.

Gris, I've heard good things about The Lives of Others, but I thought Pan's Labrynth was a lock.

Hey. New board.

I'm waking up in less than 4 hours. I... just wasn't able to sleep without the oscars being over. I'm a media junkie, I know it.

Clint was great with that. Nicely done.

I'm with ya Gris. I'll be full of the gronk in the morning, but no choice.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I don't think he was translating on the fly. I think the speech had already been written and rehearsed since this was a lifetime achievement award, and then translated in advance.

Well, yeah. That would be the other explanation for how come the first chunk of speech was really long in Italian, but really short in English....

Because books.

Weird note: That brief clip of Paul Newman in Hud totally reminded me of Sawyer from Lost. The voice did it.

Our wings are not tired.

Probably so Kat. It worked for me. Came off smoothly compared with most translated material.
