So, before I start my strict financial diet the first of the month, I should definitely go and purchase a few new tops and perhaps a couple pairs of comfy shoes, if they are on sale and therfore a bargain, correct?

Wow. Last night was ice, this morning rain, and now the snow is coming down hard.
Allyson, that sounds fair.
I spent more money on a pair of boots the other day than I've ever spent on anything not involving electronics or internal combustion engines.
If you watch L&O reruns on TNT for any period of time...or really anything on TNT, you see the commercial for Law and Order with Waterston demanding, "Were you lying then, OR ARE YOU LYING NOW?!"
Ah. I have no cable, so no TNT for me!
Also, I think youi MUST make those purchases, Allyson.

Me too! I spent like $200 on boots. Never did that before. But they're nice boots...

Definitely!
Hmm... I've definitely spent more than $200 on non-electronic items such as major appliances and furniture -- part of the whole being a grownup thing, I guess. Oh, and yes: a house. Hell, I've spent more than that on a hot water heater. If you have a house, you'll never sit around wondering what to do with that lovely pile of money you've accumulated.
It's been a nice lazy day for me, which is good since it's my last day off for a month. I guess I should clean off the car at some point since I have to be way out in the suburbs way too early tomorrow.
My super just came to my door with a new copy of some form I was supposed to fill out a while ago, after calling this morning. After posting notices on the front door. The building must be under new ownership (it's definitely being managed by the owners instead of a management company, as of a few months ago), because I KNOW I never turned this thing in last year. I actually like knowing that the owners of the building are paying attention to stuff.
Painted my nails and did the dishes.
Note to self: next time think about reversing that order. Dumbass.

How many generations removed from Strom Thurmond were the slave owners? Grandchildren? Great grandchildren? Or were they more recent descendants of his?
