Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This one is especially cute when you realize the kitty is not on the floor, but attached to a wall: [link]

OK, I made that up. Pro'lly the floor.

Cute Overload is on fire today!

I dunno, that first looks like it might be an aspect of Cthulu or something. I Know it's mutiple wee kittens, but it looks an awful lot like one serious mutation.

What is even happening?

Bon, I think that was a part of why Scott and I ended up having a Protestant ceremony rather than an interfaith one (Scott was Catholic). We'd already agreed to raise our children Protestant, and although a Catholic priest would marry us in a ceremony at a Prot church, he'd have to be the one to do the marrying, and I'd have to agree to raise the children Catholic.

If it is mostly a formal ceremony that is important to Bob, you can certainly have that in a chapel or in a Prot church. Were you raised in any particular tradition?

So there's one of those "blog" thingies in the Chicago Tribune, and they have a thing on Britney: Britney's baldness stunt nothing to take a shine to

This is the first reader response post:

It is a tragic commentary of what has happened to our society, especially those gifted with money and fame. I DO feel sad for Brittney, because she has surrounded herself with people and a lifestyle that inevitably leads to nothing more than sadness and destruction. Even more sad is the fact that people advising her, especially those who supposedly care for her, will most likely not have the courage, knowledge, or strength to counsel her on what is good, right, true. Look in the mirror America. We are the most gifted-nation from our beloved God, yet we live the most immoral, destructive lifestyles. And we ask God 'why do you let acts of terrorism haunt us'? We are only reaping what we sow. Such a long, detailed subject.... Brittney's problems are just grains-of-salt in our American way. 'GOD BLESS AMERICA'... he has, but for how much longer?

Um.. OK. Why are they even publishing this letter (or do all reader posts show up)?

God will soon punish us for Britney's excesses. Huh.

I think the person was saying Brit's trouble are but a symptom of our national ailments. It's a weird association to make, though.

Bush compares war on terror to U.S. revolution

Anyone keeping track? The war on terror is like WWII, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. It is, however, not like the Vietnam war.

Wait, or is the War on Terror not like the Civil War?

I need a scorecard.

It's like the Civil War, except for the part that what's happening among the factions of Iraquis is NOT a civil war.

Oh, and we've always been at war with Eastasia.

Art Crawl!!!

I think Bush should compare the war on terror to Britney shaving her head.

How many world leaders is Bush like? So far he's compared himself to Lincoln, Washington, FDR and Churchill. He is also the anti-Chamberlain.

Who am I forgetting? Has he compared himself to Jefferson yet? Theodore Roosevelt? Kennedy?

I think Bush should

What I think Bush should do...would probably get me a stretch in Gitmo. Probably not physically possible, either.
