Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I didn't hear the tire pop at first because I was listening to David Allen Coe's "You Never Even Called Me by My Name."

Heh. Possibly Juliana's favorite country song. It's up there.

Now tagless for your comfort.

You don't have to be stressed; the chicken pox virus was just in your blood, waiting to get you. It sometimes just means a couple of itchy days.

That's what I'm afraid of. I don't care as long as it clears up by Friday. I'm leaving for NYC and I want an itch-free weekend.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, and honey - I am so sorry that your secret-to-her wife, Salma Hayek, has decided to cheat on you and get pregnant and engaged.

Brendon is going to be so upset.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I didn't hear the tire pop at first because I was listening to David Allen Coe's "You Never Even Called Me by My Name." There may have been singing.

LOVE.

I'll hang around as long as you will let me
And I never minded standing in the rain....

I guess I'd better go out and kiss my tires, for the number of time's I've hopped curbs and not had a tire go.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Narf. Why do I always manage to dig my hole deeper? I thought I would finally be on track today, with this being payday--rent paid, check; money transferred for bill pay, check; credit card for glasses, check; money left over for food and staples, check.

Except life, being life, throws you curveballs. The eyeglasses place wouldn't accept my Amex (WTF??) so I had to put a fifty pound deposit on the glasses and pay the balance when they arrive. Which meant the money I had earmarked for food + staples + oncoming week = gone, not to mention putting me about ten pounds out of sync with what is actually in my account right now.

Sigh. Why doesn't this ever get any easier?

It's up there. I don't think it's my ALL TIME FAVORITE, but it's definitely up there.

{{{{{SA}}}}} Sorry, bebe. I definitely know what you mean.

Oh, juliana, a co-worker of DH used to sing this with a friend of his on open mike night at a bar all the time! We loved loved LOVED going to see them. And they did this song perfectly. Along with their version of "Ring of Fire." /Raised on classic country

Sigh. Why doesn't this ever get any easier?

{{SA}} Sorry.

Pictures?

Alas, digital camera battery is recharging. I'll give you an Esther Williams shot instead.

Damn, now I think I'm having paranoid itching on my back.

Because books.

Oh, Cash. I hope it's not shingles, or it's mild if it is. You deserve your NYC trip, and it should be fun and definitely non-itchy.

Love the Esther Williams shot. Somehow the pacifier really adds charm.

{{{SA}}} It's not easy for me, either, and I'm almost twice your age. Money sucks.

MM, I don't know where they live, but we'll find them. We have true love lust on our side.
