Yeah, I think actual real flu would have knocked me on my ass much longer, but you normal common cold doesn't usually come with nasty fevers, I thought.
There are all sorts of viruses, though. My kids and I had what amounted to a fever virus. Their temps were right up where S's was. Mine was more like yours. The doctor told us it was a 3-5 day thing. It ended up being more like a 5-7 day thing for us.
And shoot, I can't remember if I already told you this, yesterday. Sorry if I am being repeato girl.

Nah, I don't think you mentioned that yesterday. No worries.
And now daycare just called. A little boy bit Em. Hrd enough to raise a bruise immediately, but not hard enough to break the skin.
Nice thing about this? Trash bags can double as body bags for little boys who BITE MY BABY GIRL!!
Which little yard-ape do I have to smack until they bleed from their ears?
DayCare Provider thinks that Em took the toy from him first and he's getting his molars. He's a little younger than her 2 years and 3 months, so I'm apt to forgive him a little bit quicker if than if her was like, 3 or 4.
*shrug*
All part of the process I guess.
She was total destructo girl while we were at home yesterday. Ripped the cover off the thermostat and pulled the spring-thingy out. Broke my book light by pulling it apart. Destroyed a fabric lei that my sister had given me. Moved her bed into the middle of the room. Tore apart my Parenting magazine. Got yogurt all over EVERYTHING. She wouldn't eat anything unless I was eating it and then she didn't want her own bowl. She wouldn't go potty and screamed when I tried to coax, beg, bribe her to go. My patience was just about out when Joe got home. He wasn't home two seconds and she was all smiles and , "Hi Daddy!" and "I have to go potty, come'ere." and leading Joe by the hand to the bathroom.
I chalked it up to he's a better soother and nurturer than I am when she's this age and worked on my schoolwork.

None of them. Might I remind you of your daughter dragging Zoe ACROSS THE ROOM by a toy Em was trying to take from her?

I know, I know. They're little, they're kids, they don't understand "appropriate response".
Unfortunately for this little rugrats, neither do I.
He BIT. My little girl.
I'll get over it. I'm an adult. I'm okay. Breathe, Joe. Breathe.
(I'll wait until he's eighteen then cut the brakes on his car.)

Heh. That's my girl.
(I'm a piss-poor role model, aren't I?)
proactively mourns for those that might attempt to date Em in the future
Because of her or because of Joe?
Actually, both, come to that.
