Mostly lurking...

curse the plants having sex

You know, mom's got some new plants that have been pinging me scent-wise. I wonder if that's the reason for my headache. I was blaming it on church this morning, but maybe that's not it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I have achieved new jeans and new cargo pants. Men's styles, both. The women's pants at Old Navy are INSANE. they appear to come in 3 styles: Ultra Low Waist, Low Waist, and about 2 styles total of something called "Just Below the Waist." People! Some of us like our pants on our waist!

I realized that Old Navy is definitely not courting my business. I am too old.

But the men's stuff was OK.

I am older than you, I think. Certainly more of a fuddy-duddy, style-wise.

I couldn't find ANY just below-the-waist jeans... I could only find them in regular pants, which were actually OK, except for the paucity of available styles and the one pair of pants in my size was like 4 inches too long (and I am a relatively tall woman).

Ultra low rise, ptui.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

ON actually does waists that works for me, too. Actual waist *never* works for me.

ION the Schlesinger Library at Radcliffe is very foamy looking, archivally-speaking.

Oh, I understand that it's good for folks, I just felt marginalized by the overwhelming amount of low-rise/ultra low-rise stuff which is Really Really Nightmare-Style Horrible on me.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The just-below-waist fits me just about perfectly. Ones that are supposed sit actually on the waist tend to leave me with a bunch of uncomfortable scrunched-up fabric around my waist.

The low-rise is sometime OK on me, depending on the cut. The ultra-low-rise is horrible.
