Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, DJ, darling. I'm so sorry. For you and Mr DJ. Listen to Cindy's prescription pad.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{DJ and Mr. DJ}}} I'm so sorry for your loss.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thank you for the sympathies. I'm mostly worried for Mr. Jane's family. His uncle has attempted suicide before, and I'm sure that's got his dad on edge.

I wish he wouldn't try to drive up there. He thinks it's better because they won't have to worry about getting him from the airport and stuff, but I think better that than to worry about something happening to him during the drive. Or, if something does happen, having to worry about that. He's just very stubborn. But, also apt to changing his mind, so I have my fingers crossed.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

DJ, I'm so sorry. That's so tragic.

Hm, I think we do have some pics left on the current roll. However, I'm supposed to be doing schoolwork now!

Oh, and happy happy birthday, Cindy! You and your dad and uncle shared the birthday?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

DJ, that's the hardest news. So sorry for you and Mr. Jane.

I left town when I turned 40. I did the same when I turned 30 now that I think of it. Most people prefer their 30s to 20s, but it was my least favorite decade. I had way more fun, happiness and sex in my twenties. My thirties had divorce and stress and bad work experiences and a fair amount of difficult parenting. And my forties have been better than my thirties: writing success, more sex, happier parenting.

JZ says that Matilda makes me younger. I think there's something to that. It preempts my crabbiness.

In other news...Glamcookie is such a rock star!

What is even happening?

Thank you, Aimee and thanks, GC for the early wishes, too.

It's tomorrow, guys, so if you skipped or skimmed, don't feel like you missed anything.

I have to go get ready for the m-i-l's party, but I don't seem to be moving.

Glamour first! Schoolwork second!

And Happy Birthday, Cindy! This is your year of decreasing stress and increasing health. Increasing money and decreasing anxiety. I say so.
