Skimming like mad to say:
I'm considering another North Beach Spa weekend for late May. Probably should mention to Joe.
YOWZA. YAY.
And also? I'd love to meet Miss Daisy Jane. I could even scrounge up a Saints tee to wear.
'Dirty Girls'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Dear Owen,
Ya little bugger. I don't know how you did it - secret messages or what have you - but Emeline spent most of the morning (after ripping off her Pull-Up) running from and Joe screaming, "NAKED! NAKED! NAKED! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
Please to not encourage, ya goofy lil boy!
Love,

Dear Aims,
Check your inbox. Mwahahaha.

Curse my fatal predictability!!
Oh, I'd be able to find DH, too. Craps table at the Imperial Palace. I'll bet I could track him down in less than 15 minutes. Even without the transmitter I've planted in his head.
Laura, I'm sorry that plan didn't work out. It was such a good idea!
Okay. Cat hasn't used his box since this morning, and I'm starting to worry. Of course, it might be normal for him to only go once during a day, but I'm still nervous.
Home again. I took a rain check on the dockside dinner. We went to my favorite beach joint, Boston's. I had 2 Boston Stranglers, a most potent tasty beverage. Yummy lobster bisque and a Bay Cobb Salad with lots of chunky crab. Then went to book group where my girl friends sang to me. Good time. I was the only one that hated the writing style of the actual book. It made for good discussion.
Thanks for the happy birthday greetings. It was a lovely day. Off to unwind with some previously recorded tv.
Stamina~ma to Drew at this time. Long day. I am sure he is doing great and that the Buffista vibes are helping keep him energized.
Happy birthday, Laura!
Happy birthday, Laura!
I am glad you had a lovely birthday, Laura. You certainly deserve it.
Happy Birthday, Laura!
Vortex, it's possible that the professor doing the rec decided for whatever reason to type and print the whole thing him/herself and just got it completely frelled up, because that's what they do with nominally simple administrative tasks all too frequently.
Speaking as someone who teaches at a university and writes letters of rec all the time, my hunch is that a professor could easily make the mistake of typing a letter in two different fonts, but sending a letter on xeroxed letterhead? Weird. That hits my suspicious buzzer.
Also, just for the record, most of the time that a professor for "whatever reason" decides to type the letter herself that reason is she doesn't have a secretary and hence writes all of her own letters. When I was in grad school the only professors in my department that had secretaries--we are talking an English dept here, med school may well be different--were the acting departmental chairs. In my current department the only person with a secretary to write his letters is the program director.
The reason for typos, two different fonts, etc? Letters are written by changing and editing previous letters. Sorry to bust any bubbles. I have written special letters for students in special circumstances, certainly. Just yesterday in fact I wrote a letter for a student for a $10,000 prize that I really want her to win. But most letters follow a template.
Happy birthday laura
I've never heard of a professor having her own secretary. My department has a secretary, but she's just part time and does stuff for the whole department.
