If I had the money, a winter home in California would be a distinct possibility. Okay, I'm heading back to the living room now where it's wamer.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
California is too cold in the winter. I'm always surprised when I see the temperature on the big weather map. If I was going for a deep winter home it might have to be Rio.
If I had the money, a winter home in California would be a distinct possibilty.
In Pasadena!

HA!! We're looking at the possibility of snow here, bucko. My icicle toes laugh in your general direction.
(rassenfrassen insert rant about lack of insulation here)
(realize it's still better than MSP)
(shut the hell up)
Really, Juliana? It's been in the high 40s/low 50s here today, and it's supposed to warm up some tomorrow.
We're looking at the possibility of snow here, bucko.
We are? I hadn't heard.
I don't have anywhere I have to get to, so cool.

Ya know how when you tell someone to stop laughing, they laugh even harder....
Jesus WEPT. Husband is down sick with the cold suckfest. I'm coming down with bout two. In spite of that, I decided that I was less sick and spent the day doing stuff I didn't particularly want to do because he was the sicker one.
He just came in and picked a fight with me because there were dirty dishes in the sink because it makes him angry that whenever he's sick the dishes pile up. When I pointed out that there had been dirty dishes in the sink when *I* got up and that I had, in fact, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher so that there were far fewer dirty dishes, and that I was, in fact, sick myself, that wasn't good enough.
I hate it when I'm being self-sacrificing and then am dumped on for doing not a good enough job.
That ain't right.

Wow, juliana. Snow? In SF? Really? I know it's not unheard of, but still. Wow.
One of my favorite quotes is of Mark Twain saying something like the coldest winter he ever spent was the 4th of July in SF. It can get warm, but I sure wouldn't count on it any time of year.
I think we've been hovering around 33F. Unfortunately, I've also been hovering around a cold. Not the big nastly, but sore throat, scratchy eyes, nasty sinuses and SLEEPY. This last is the most relevant, as I got up late and then took a nap, so I've been toasty under all my blankies.
