I just found out I'm a quasi-aunt! My step-sister just had her baby (24 hours of labor, OMG!). He absolutely gorgeous. I need to find something to commemorate a new baby at the start of Year of the Pig (very good for starting a family).

btw, those of you with Flickr accounts - they crossed the streams during a network server update, and random other photos were showing up in people's slideshows this weekend. My FiL was viewing a slideshow of photos of Mal and halfway through was a photo of a naked guy on a ladder with a huge erection! There were some other intruding photos also, but none that startled him as much as Happy Ladder Man. So you might check your slideshows and make sure the cache is clear.

Did you have too much caffeine today? Sometimes it sneaks in by way of chocolate or even eggplant.

nah, I just don't know how to go to bed.

You know, I've been telling people eggplant contains trace amounts of caffeine for years but I can't remember where I heard it and a brief internet search is turning up nothing. Might be a suburban legend.

Um...there was other stuff, but I'm too cold to remember. Just got back from dropping of mom's car to be fixed from the little accident I had in it last Thanksgiving. Had to walk home, 'cause the buses don't seem to be running very often right now. I am freezing and having an asthma attack.

Maybe that's why cars of the late 50s through the 60s are my favorites. Such a period of optimism... it was the atomic age, jet age and space age all at once....
