Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I shared a bottle of white zin with a friend tonight and am feeling fine, too.
We ordered a deep dish pizza and I toasted some bread and spread it with Nutella for dessert.
Deena, I can see the benefit of having kids so far apart! Yay Nick! Now if I could only hire him to come down here and sit on for my heathens kids.
Hec, we've got your snow right here--it's been flurrying all day.
My iPod went fritzy today and I had scheduled a genius bar appointment. I SO didn't want to go out today - I'm enjoying being home with NOTHING on my "to-do" list. Luckily, the darling iPod had a change of heart and started working again. We will see.... And, yes, I was a nice person and cancelled my appointment.
Cash, he's best with his girlfriend, as he doesn't do diapers and Aidan's still in them, but otherwise he's the awesome. The kids love him (OH NICK YOU CAME HOME!) and love spending time with him, so they didn't even notice when we left.
I have no dirty books. I need some too. Right now I'm reading Carpe Demon, just started, but it reads a little like Buffy all grown up and now a mom with a minivan.
Yay, for good nights for Deena abd vw!
I'm back from the movies. I feel awful, but I still managed to enjoy most of Dreamgirls.
{{sj}} I'm sorry you feel awful. I hope a good night's sleep is gotten, and makes you feel better.
The traffic is much worse for new people than it is for people who've been driving in the city for a while.
Eh. I never really got used to it. Resigned to it. But not used to it. And every time I am back in SoCal, I just get that same tension back when I am stuck in traffic.
Man, people do get their hackles raised over where they live and how it is teh best evah and others need to respect teh authority. Funny.
I have found good things about everywhere I have lived and bad things too. Some I have liked overall and some just never clicked.

I read the second book in that series -- California Demon -- though I never read Carpe Demon. I thought it was cute, and by the end I was really invested in the characters.
I liked
Carpe Demon.
There was one thing that bugged, but characters can't be perfect. I keep meaning to go find the second book.
There was deep dish pizza. no wine, but I might have some later. Matt Stole my book
Sperm are from men, Women are from eggs
and even though he says it is a lot like the
Selfish Gene,
he is not putting it down. It is evolutionary biology, but very amusingly written - such that the book has been passed around the cafe. There have even been readings . At the readings , everyone is laughing, but at the same time the men are on one side of the room and the women are on the other.
I don't get defensive about wherever I live being the best ever, but I do get defensive if I feel like someone is dissing it completely. (Which, ftr, I didn't feel during this coversation. Just an observation.)
There are things I miss about SE CT, no doubt. I'm glad I moved, though.

Um... Wasn't pointing fingers actually. Sorry, I obviously hit a nerve that I wasn't aiming for at all.
