I know I'm a bad poet, but I'm a good man. All I ask is that... is that you try to see me—

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ow ow ow. Woke up with a swollen knee. Not sure why it's swollen, but it hurts to put any weight on it.

So much for my plan to walk to the grocery store today.

Yes, that picture of Sara is adorable.

I'm watching Drumline, and now I really want to get back to playing drums. (I played from fourth grade until high school.) So much fun, except for my evil band teacher.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm watching it snow, big fat fluffy snowflakes that aren't sticking to the pavement, while I wait for my lunch to digest so that I can work out.

This led to the BRQG, which has yielded the following particularly snerk-worthy quotes:

ita: if you can make it past eighteen and not notice your mother's glass eye, please don't throw a fit at me.

Hil R.: Totally random note: When I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday, I noticed The Complete Idiot's Guide to Contacting Spirits. I really feel there are some things we shouldn't be encouraging idiots to do.

lori: If it weren't for these Mars rovers, my entire vanity Google would consist of reprints of Dogs In Elk. As it is, Dogs in Elk accounts for 90%.

Lyra Jane: the idea of a gorilla signing "show me your tits" like a drunken Gallaudet frat boy is comedy GOLD.

(I don't think sexual harassment is funny, of course, but I can bend that a little if it involves an ape.)

Mostly lurking...

I'm wearing a skirt that I haven't worn for a year! Go no eating!

The status is NOT quo.

Tep, I initially read all of those quotes as if they were a conversation and was mightily confused. And amused.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It *was* a conversation, silly. We're the Buffistas!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I finally got to the bookstore, and they were out of book 2 of the Dresden Files, so I picked up 3 & 4 and two of the non-numbered books from the series. I ordered book 2 and pre-ordered my copy of Harry Potter 7. Then I went to Old Navy and bought a clearance Valentine's t-shirt, a St. Patrick's Day t-shirt, and a big slouchy purse that was on clearance.

Now, I am putting together a quick dinner, cavatelli with a tomato sauce of onions, garlic, proscuito, and red pepper flakes, with some peas on the side. After dinner we're finally going to go see Dreamgirls.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There's non-numbered books in the Dresden series?
