Hee! Thanks, Cindy and Deena. Dave is usually very good about sleeping in, but once he is up, he is up. Me, nsm. I'm going to head in the shower now, because we're supposed to be going to breakfast.
'Sleeper'
Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Get some restoring rest Lee.
You sound quite perky this morning, vw! Yay for dinner party plans. Have fun entertaining.
I need to get my ass in gear. I slept in. This was a good thing. I've been feeling sleep deprived lately. Still haven't been able to focus enough to decide which list to attack. Maybe more coffee.
LA: I loved the several visits I've had there. I think I would have to research the various areas closely if I were to try and live there. The dry bothered me a lot. This may be because I live in such a humid climate and I might acclimate over time. The air quality on a couple trips was really awful and I don't think I could deal with that. Twice I stayed in Venice Beach and that was nice. I got up early (body on east coast time) and walked the beach. It was most pleasant. Your traffic seriously sucks, which saying a lot since my area isn't known for great driving conditions. I don't know if people find solutions for that.
There are quite a number of wonderful places to live. I don't know how I have managed to stay here so long. The original intent was just to stay a couple years and help my parents with their health problems. Um, it will be 27 years this summer. Before that I lived in 5 different metro areas in 7 years. Thought I would be on the go forever. DH feels the same restlessness and surprise at how long we have been here. He moved every 3 years from his birth until he went to college here.
But we have this great weather, and comfortable lifestyle. I think we need to travel more to settle the wanderlust. Of course it would help if we lived somewhere that wasn't so crazy expensive because then we might be able to afford this travel.
Rambling... need coffee now.
Wow, I am really so slow with the typing that there were a bunch of posts while I was sloooowly clicking keys.
I take forever to wake up. Every morning I get up at 6 or so, but not alert until about 10. Jealous of the people (like DH) that pop up awake.
Good day all!
Good to read that the groin is feeling better, Cindy. Take it easy.
Brenda! sj! Deena!
See above, need more coffee...
Mornin’ all! Brenda, vw, Lee, Laura, Cindy, sj, Deena!!
I think my perfect night out with the girls would be in, not out. I want a bunch of really good gourmet munchies to go with the wine and foufy drinks. and I want to talks about books and tv and men . ( I want to be able to say - 'men' , without it being bitter , or with out feeling like I've dised my DH). Get a little raunchy. And then I want to settle the whole state of the world .
Perfect! I want a girls night out/in with beth, AmyLiz, and Kristin!
I pulled a groin muscle by coughing while walking up the stairs.
Cindy! No! That’s completely unfair. I hope you’re resting it today.
Mine actually subsided a lot in the night, thank goodness,
Good to hear. I hate coughing this much, it truly does suck. I’ve been coughing so much and so hard that I lost my voice and I’ve been having incontinence issues. Not. Fun.
I’m up, have had a shower and have tea brewing. My new sofa gets delivered today! Yay!!!!
My multi-taking skills are slow today. I find I can't read and listen to Wait Wait at the same time. Huh.
Yay for new sofa!
Coughing bad.
Sarameg turned me onto Delsym for dry coughs, and my pharmacist noted that it had a better suspension than Robitussin DM, so lasted longer. Works really well for stopping those dumb coughs. And may spare a groin or two.
I think I need to cough, to clear my chest, so sadly, no suppressants for me.
Ita, how is you head today? Did you make it through the night without going to the ER?
Hello everyone. ChiKat, I'm glad your feeling a little better. Hurray for the couch.
Sj I'm slw going some mornings, too. It can't always be helped.
I think brenda and Deena ought to build a fort for Aidan and brenda's dog.
Perfect! I want a girls night out/in with beth, AmyLiz, and Kristin!
We're actually having a girls night in tonight here. It's the revival of my annual Rotic (romantic without the man) Dinner. Just got all the groceries. Now I just need to finish cleaning the apartment and put out the VDay decorations (ha! I'm just a little late!).
Here's the picture of Sara I promised to post weeks ago. She's wearing the dress Plei sent her -- I got the matching tights -- and it's now her Favorite. Dress. Ever.
Timelies all. It's kind of a crap morning here, so I am distracting myself with pictures of the kids, and figuring out the horrible Olympus program that came with our camera.
It's the revival of my annual Rotic (romantic without the man) Dinner.
I love this. So much.
ION, I just ate bacon and it was Goood.
