Surely you can arrange for even one or two trips to the big city for the sproglet? I think I first went to visit my godmother in LA at 10, and my aunt and uncle in Brookline when I was 15 or 16, and it was magical both times.

Of course, 10 is a long way off for a critter whose existence is still a secret, but still. You should pencil it into your long-term agenda.

Oh, god. I cannot even express how happy this whole thing makes me. It's been a really shitty week, and that was about the best thing that could have happened. They've been trying so hard, and at Christmas were so frustrated, because they really wanted to have news at Christmas.
