So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Ouch, Daniel. I was so verra happy to see that it was only -2 F in our neck of the woods this morning. Although, it means it's probably headed this way. It's all your fault!

Raq, if you're around this (my) morning, I got your package yesterday! Thank you. I love olive oil soap, I love olive oil, period. I love the stuff so much that my hair conditioner even has olive oil in it.

On the note of weight loss, I've found for me the only thing that will kick start the loss in any serious way is lifting weights. I build muscle easily, so if I want to really lose then I need to lift. The hard part is to convince myself to keep lifting once I lose the weight. I get lazy and then all the weight comes back. However, my body, she is changing muchly with the perimenopause and I'm not sure if what used to work will still work. I've been able to lose 25 pounds in 3-4 months in the past few years, but every time I've gained the weight back I've gained back more than I've lost. Also, I'm not sure how much of this past weight gain is due to various medications I'm on, either. It's a puzzle.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

WTF?

It's in the 70s in Arizona. IJS.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I really hate that. I am so tired of winter. It's just GROSS.

Ugh. Actually, I hate everything today. However, the freshmen are on a college tour field trip, which means I have 4, 5, and 6th hours pretty free. I can get grading done, drink tea, and just feel like shit in peace.

Hu-fuckin-zzah.

Because books.

We're on our fourth snow day in a row here.

I need one of those happy mommy juice boxes, quick.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

How many feet of snow do you have, Amy?

Because books.

I have no idea. Total, since this particular system came through (which is not supposed to end until the weekend), probably close to two feet? Since this morning we've gotten another five inches already.

North of us got hit even worse -- I think they have five feet or more.

Also, we haven't had mail for two days -- not a sign of a mail truck or a carrier. Whatever happened to "through rain and sleet" blah blah?

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I have been idly wondering if there will be time to see Ohioistas while there

I will be in town this weekend.... though we don't really know each other! (And believe me, I understand the pull of the niecephews!)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's 15 here today and no snow, so I guess I won't complain.

TCG has one of his late meetings tonight, which sucks, but he is using comp time for these late meetings to take tomorrow off, which is great.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, we're not going out for another month. Although my original screwed up flight arrangements had me leaving tomorrow and returning on March 11. I had to change it so that we actually left on MARCH 9 (to the tune of $90 a ticket, of which there were 2), because I am an idiot and the February and March calendars are exactly the same!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I may be in NYC on March 9-11. I'm still waiting confirmation from my friend to book the trip. I'm hopeful that the trip will happen because I really would like a trip to NYC.
