Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

* Naked Owen runs through thread *

I only lost 7 lbs last week.

I'd be happier if I lost 7 pounds last year.

I'm with WS. I gained weight while training karate six days a week -- training to the point that you could wring sweat out of my gi and my legs wobbled. All the guys in the class would sit around trying to figure out which sports drink had the most calories, because if they didn't work hard at eating, they'd lose weight. One guy drank sweetened condensed milk. We'd go out ofter training. They'd have double whoppers with cheese, milkshakes and fries. I'd have a hamburger. Two years ago, I trained for a half marathon, including 7- to 10-mile walks every Saturday, and lost nary a pound. I've been working hard at the Y five days a week for six months, and I've lost 4 pounds.

Sorry. The topic just brought on a fit of whining.

You're more than welcome to the empathy and the sympathy. Clearly, we feel ya.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So, online tax programs: TurboTax or H&R Block TaxCut?

Thrive to spite them

Up until last year I used TurboTax then I tried out HR Block and liked it better so this year I'm going with HR Block.

The DH won't use TurboTax because there was spyware on their disks one year, so he boycotts them. I used TaxCut for my mom's taxes and it was pretty straight forward but really I could have done her taxes by hand (she's retired and widowed). P-C thank you for reminding me to bug the DH to make an appt with the tax lady!

Yeah, I've used TurboTax two years in a row, but a couple of my co-workers also recommend HR Block, even though it's a little more expensive.

Heh, no problem, Dawn! I'm planning on using my refund to continue to knock down my student loan, so I want to get it taken care of earlier.

brillig

I always do my own taxes. Not like it's hard to add together the W-2s, subtract the tax withheld, then smile at the refund on the state form and glower at the fed refund that's going to be withheld for Hubby's ancient student loan.

P-C you are such a good, responsible person! I swear if I didn't bug the DH till he was sick of hearing about it, we'd still be filing extensions for 2004 -- he hates gathering all the info. Then he always wants to use the refund on the stupid boat (I've found that boat = Bring Over Another Thousand)
