Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm drinking Fernet right now, AIFG.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Huh.

No need to envy

If I'm out of Knob Creek, it's just because we haven't restocked.

this is "Vortex's girl" material. Especially the Knob Creek.

Woo!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Have you ever mixed corn starch and water?

No! What does it do?!

(Dear Mrs. P-C,

Your son is hott, and I am going to steal him away and force him into an unholy marriage.

Love,
Teppy the white devil)

Heeeeeeeeeee.

P-C, are you then filled with an urge to explain to people why the boiling noise gets softer before the pot comes to a comlete boil?

I don't even know!

Oooh.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I know the rant. Does it include how they take so much more than they actually need?

Ok. That I didn't know. Also? I'm not sure it's good for my sanity to know that. Thanks for the sympathies, folks.

Happy B-Day to Victor.

I feel sure there is more I meant to say but have forgotten. Me=tired.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I'm sorry I disappeared. Work ate my brain.

Cindy, thank you. Yes, the sentence is a big deal and it was very nice to hear.

Thanks everyone for the happy birthday wishes. I think they worked. He settled down toward the evening. We didn't even have a cake because we were going to pick it up today, so instead I gave him more ice cream than he's ever had at one time (a whole scoop!). He ate it all! with a spoon! (both are amazing) then he grunted the angry grunt and slung his bowl across the table and I figured out he wanted more. He got the big grins on his face when I showed him the container and proceeded to give him another scoop. He was very happy and ate it all up.

Tomorrow I'm taking him to the doctor. He spent most of the day coughing, not a whooping cough non-stop thing, but pretty bad. Tonight he has the warm humidifier with Vicks liquid stuff.

My partial meara:

job~ma to you, Askye!

Happy Birthday Victor! I'm sorry I'm late.

behave-ma to Robin's girly-bits. Don't make me come down there!

Ah, Bev, I'm sorry about you missing your ocean time. I wish I could come mom-sit for you.

For Em, the pede told us to put books and toys in Aidan's bed at bedtime, and then, if he got up, just put him back and he'd learn to self entertain until he was sleepy again. He rarely sleeps through the night. I'd adjust her bedtime, too, though. Kara's bedtime went to 8 really quickly and is now 8:30, reading for 15 minutes, and then lights out. It's not really enough sleep for her, but she seems unable to sleep any sooner.

Andi, sorry about the blood. I have to do a cholesterol and liver function one soon. I'm just too busy/frazzled to find a nearby hospital and go do it. This week, maybe.

School is canceled again tomorrow due to the cold. I wondered about that until I realized that most of the kids walk to school around here some of them almost 2 miles. We did that in Alaska without harm, but it's a pretty unusual cold for this area, I think.

I am sure that I missed commenting on some things. Is too much, I summed up. And now that I've caught up, I think I shall go to bed.

Ah yes, thanks, Deena, for joggling my memory....

{{{Bev}}} you surely deserve a nice weekend away, too bad about the being sick.

Girly-bits~ma to Robin. Make sure to get IP rights on that drive-through hysterectomy concept.

move out and draw fire

2 hours 45 minutes makes a lot more sense, in a very very painful way.

Aimee, the toy thing seems to do the trick, at least with Mal. He also has a pretty bright nightlight, so books work also.

I had the Day From Hell at work yesterday. Then we did taxes last night, and I discovered that my take-home for 2006 was right around $1000. For the year.

Oh well, I knew I was working just to keep my security clearance and network a bit for the next job, but still, that stings.
