Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Well, fuck. Poor Matilda has been screaming and weeping on and off for the last hour and 25 minutes. She's no longer running a fever from the shots yesterday, but I gave her a dose of baby Motrin anyway, hoping it'd help her mellow out and sleep. No help at all. She's also gone through five diapers in that period of time.

She has just now cried herself to sleep. Absent any other obvious cause, I have to blame the Thai green curry I made yesterday -- had it a bunch of times during the pregnancy so I thought it'd be safe, but apparently not. I hope Hec likes it.

I feel ravaged and heartbroken for her, and just wrecked for myself. And my ears are actually literally ringing.

Sorry to be such a whiny cow. I do truly swear that she's hugely worth it, that she's sweet and interesting and deeply lovable and the best thing I've ever done. But I'm just fucking exhausted, and the day's barely half over.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Aww. {{JZ}} {{Matilda}}

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Put clothes that do not fit but someday might into a storage box of some sort, and throw a pretty cloth over the box so it looks like a table. Or shove it in an attic if you have an attic. Which is my plan, as soon as I have a ladder with which to reach said attic.

I don't know how regular migraineurs manage. I get one maybe two a month and they are not even that much pain, objectively, but I just can not do anything at all. Remaining upright is a serious challenge. Y'all have so much respect from me for doing normal life stuff while suffering.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{JZ}}} You are not a whiny cow. It's very difficult to have a baby cry and not be able to comfort them.

Oh, poor Matilda, and poor JZ.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

JZ, I promise, it gets kind of mostly better!

Hey, are there any Spoiler peeps in here who could tell me what the discussion topics have been since the burst of 24 Activity a couple weeks ago?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Punctuation for moms of unhappy babies, and to migraine sufferers (no matter how often you get them).

Now tagless for your comfort.

JZ do you have soft earplugs? They can dampen the sound of the crying without cutting it out totally. I've done that so I could relax (because the sound of my kids crying causes severe anxiety for me).

I hope she wears her wee self out and can nap and get over her ick.

What is even happening?

Oh, JZ. I'm sorry. That's so hard. I hope it melts away in her sleep.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Poor JZ and Matilda. I hope you both get to feeling better (since I am sure that M crying breaks your mommy heart) soon.

There was even a comment that harping on what the homeless will possibly do to your property values is more in line with what the Religious Right would say, but Jesus would not agree, and perhaps it's time to decide if you want to be Conservative or Christian.
Bless them. Literally. Because it's about time that Conservative and Christian were shown to be a wee tiny bit different from one another.

Makes me feel better about the painful things I sometimes imagine doing to the Conservatives. Not that Jesus would approve but maybe he'd look away for just a moment and that would be enough.

I'm still going to Hell, aren't I?

If someone could tell me what to do with the stack of clothes that do not fit, but one day might, so I don't want to get rid of them...that'd help.
I've narrowed mine down to the things I really like and there's a spot in the closet for them. One that I do not go near and do not see in the normal course of life. The rest get donated.

Of course I still haven't put my clean clothes away. Or sorted through the rest to do a purge after buying new underthings and a few basics that needed to be replaced.

I should get on that.
