And wouldn't it matter what kind of tv they were watching? Sesame Street (at least back in the day), Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact, Ghost Writers, much PBS stuff seemed to do me more good than bad.
And then, as I got older, the bizarre BBC stuff on Nickelodeon
::Hugs Tomorrow People and The Third Eye tight::
that stuff had a huge influence on me.
And then, as I got older, the bizarre BBC stuff on Nickelodeon
Muppets & Looney Tunes for me. But I loved me some 3-2-1 Contact.
::insert obligatory Square One reference here::
Oh, my love for Mathnet...
And thinking back, was the female cop Scully-ish in appearance, or am I just having a memory mush?
Damn, I couldn't get Emmett to watch TV soon enough. First it was horse racing that caught his attention, and then
Pee Wee's Playhouse.
He watched it every day - he just didn't watch a lot of it every day.
But that was around when he was 2.
MathNet rocks! The rest of Square One, eh, but I'd love to have Mathnet on DVD. I still remember the episode where the two of them were all spiffed up to go to the opera.
edit: Plus it's the first place I ever heard of the Fibonacci Sequence (spelling optional)
I remember one with a runaway gorilla. Tracks in the flour!
I missed out on so much good television.
