Hubby's had multiple sleep tests, and they're pretty much like Erin says. I did an at-home one where they put an oxygen sensor on my finger that recorded my blood oxygen levels through the night. Hubby's got industrial sleep apnea and uses a C-Pap machine, and I'm supposed to have one too. I tried his once and it's a bitch.
For what's worth, Hubby is more clear-headed on the days where he's slept with the Cpap. Our insurance hates paying for the studies, so maybe you can get away with the at-home thing I did.
So, there were shots imbibed Saturday night?
There were not, but there were many cocktails consumed, then there was after-bar-ing complete with dancing. So there was hangover and lack of sleep on Sunday.
North Beach does not Breaketh. North Beach Fixeth! Unless it Breaketh with the intention of Fixeth Better.
Sometimes you have to wait a few days for the Hangover of Breaketh to pass, though.
Do oatmeal cookies count?
erika, I agree that the attendant needs to mind her own fucking business and tell her that you'll mind yours (figuratively and literally).
Gah. I'm now waiting for a letter from a company who works with our health insurance company. Apparently, one of their offices was broken into and along with some cash and electronics, the thieves made off with one of their backup computer tapes containing stuff like SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, ADDRESSES, NAMES, etc. So if we get a letter, our data was compromised. This is going to be fun.
Oh, juliana - after everyone left on Saturday my mom said she was disappointed she didn't get to talk with everyone more and that she wanted me to specifically invite you over for dinner. Heh!
Signed, Another 37-year-old.
Infants.
Signed,
Will be 40 in 41 days (and I know I did the math correctly, because I checked with my six year old).
Andi, I'm sorry your sis is having such a hard time with your mom. Your plans sounds very workable, and like a very good idea.
Erin, my new boyfriend takes this almost every night for sleep and it worries me. Should I be worried?
Hmm. I am perhaps not the best person to ask this, as I am Ambien's Bitch, since I have had hard-core insomnia since I was 15. I am of the mind that sleep is better than non-sleep, and since Ambien helps with the sleep, that it is a Good Thing.
I also have no adverse reactions to the Ambien, in the form of day-after sleepiness or loginess, BUT...Ambien is a drug, and can be misused. I OD'd on it twice, but I also have chronic depression and Made Bad Decisions, so...
And the OD was like, taking 6 of them. I was stupid.
So...I guess I have to say maybe? Depends on how he uses them, and if good sleep is a worthwhile payoff for the drug. For me, it is a blessing to know that I will not have to lay awake for 5 hours, 5 nights out of the week, praying desperatly for sleep.
my mom said she was disappointed she didn't get to talk with everyone more and that she wanted me to specifically invite you over for dinner.
....
I'm totally grounded, aren't I?
Erin, that's really helpful; thanks.
::::totally jealous that Suzi's mom only asked about Juliana!:::::::
