Everybody plays each other. That's all anybody ever does. We play parts.

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Please, sir, may I have some more?

Now see, I went to an Animal House place (which admittedly was "Please sir, may I have another?") with Scrappy instead of Dickens.

It was a good image.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I'm trying to be good and have had oatmeal the last three days.

The only thing more charming than the love affair between Andi and Daniel is the love affair between Daniel and Andi's cats.

So true. I am also lucky in this regard since ND is a ginormous cat lover, and they have fallen in love with him. Mia (aka Puppycat 2.0) follows him around and squeaks at him until he pays attention to her. He even taught her how to handle being picked up. She used to spaz if you tried to hold her, but now she's happy as a clam up there.

Gronklies. I'm beyond exhausted.

Always Anti-fascist!

It is ridiculous, and I've struggled against it, but in the end, gotta go with Archie Bunker here: "It looks like somebody ate it already and lost it."

You and your gag reflex. Have an artichoke. They look just like plants.

Oatmeal totally squicks me, Hecubus.

This would be me. I have bad BAD memories of instant oatmeal sludge from my childhood. I've been told that properly prepared oatmeal is great, but looking at a bowl of it still makes me queasy.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Who's had oatmeal in the last three days?

I haven't had any since Friday, but I thought about it really hard on Saturday.

The Lillibean is tres adorabubble. Looking at her pic made me feel so much better after my conversation with my sister.

Which started with mutual birthday greetings, and then proceeded to occupy 40 minutes with "Our mother is infantile, delusional, and practices poor hygiene: And she thinks we're mean for expecting her to bathe." Sis wants so badly to teach Mom that she needs to shower at least once a week. Mom resists. From Sis's description of Mom's behavior, Mom sounds like she has regressed to the state of a 10-12 year old. I have encouraged Sis to get Mom's day-to-day needs out of her hands - for the sake of her own sanity. And also because I worry a bit that if someone else notices, "Hey, that old lady stinks like she hasn't had a bath in months. Why isn't her daughter the RN taking better care of her?" and reports possible neglect, that might make an unfair amount of trouble for Sis. So, we worked out a plan where Sis is going to make a deal with Mom, that if she doesn't shower, Sis will just not take her wherever they were planning to go. Also, Sis is going to try to get Mom to plan an outing by herself using public trans. once a week or so. I encouraged Sis to find a social worker, or agency to really take over, as Mom seriously is more likely to listen to anyone other than her own children about stuff like this.

brillig

I have also thought about oatmeal. I may even get so far as to find out where the oatmeal box lives in my kitchen.

Oh Andi, how ... not birthday-ish. I hope the rest of your day is better. Happy birthday!

mmm, thistles. (And you really *do* keep files on us, don't you? ) Aw, shit, I really am Eeyore...damn it. And my mom already pointed out that Eeyore and Munch are sort of the same character.

Somebody should write Homicide fic with Pooh characters. Or better yet, rewrite Eeyore's Birthday with Homicide characters.
