There's more than one way to skin a cat. And I happen to know that's factually true.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The age difference there is creepy.

Huh. Not only did I fix the TV, but my fix noticably improved the picture quality.

Question: connecting with a coaxial cable directly from the cable box to the TV didn't work. (It used to work, but then last week, for no apparent reason, it stopped working.) Just got a flat grey screen. Just an S-video cable didn't work either. Just got static. However, connecting with both the coaxial and the S-video works. Anybody have any idea why?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a mystery to me to me, Hil. Maybe each is sending half a signal somehow? Inductance? [eta: "Inductance" was always a good guess for why something weird happened in E&M, so I'll throw it out there now]

I don't remember my Prom date's name. It was a set-up, and we didn't go out again or anything.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My prom date was Kim Bridgham. I should've asked Susie Henderson, but I didn't. I asked Kim.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I didn't go to prom because my boyfriend at the time refused to wear a zoot suit and I refused to arrive by being lowered out of a helicopter.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

The age difference is a bit creepy, yeah. Not to mention Dita is much prettier.

I didn't go to my Prom. I ended up going to Prom the year after I graduated because my friend's girlfriend broke up with him the day of Prom.

What is even happening?

Evan Rachel Wood was like...seven, when Marilyn Manson put out (one of) his first album(s).

I think.

I know he had an album in '94. I tried to check his discography at his official website, but demons tried to suck my soul out as soon as the page loaded, so I shut my browser window.

What? They totally did.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I had no prom date. Junior year, my then-boyfriend (who recently bought a fabulous craftsman bungalow in Oakland) was working/didn't want to go, and senior year, I was single (I had a dress, just in case, from the year before) and just went and hung out and watched TV with my previous year's history teacher, so I could see what my friends were wearing as they dropped by on their way.

You know, honestly, it totally didn't feel as lame as it sounds typing it up. Even taking into account that I spent two months trying to get someone to go with me.

I'm feeling retroactively pathetic.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Marilyn Manson needs to unhand that little girl! Ew ew ew!

My prom date was my boyfriend who I dated from mid-senior year through 2nd year of college. He is the only ex that I look back on with nothing but fond memories. He was my only serious BF in high school. Billy (probably Bill at this point), where are you now?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Junior year I went with my best friend, but wound up stealing a prom date at the dance.

Senior year my boyfriend was 4 years older than me, so I didn' think he'd be into going.

Still talk/hang out with date I stole. Was in touch with ex until he turned in to a massive jackass.

What is even happening?

My prom date was my high school sweetheart. He's an attorney if FL, now. I know he's married (or at least was). I'm pretty sure he has children, but not positive. I last saw him about 5 years after high school ended. When his mother passed on, I thought about going to her wake, because his whole family was really great, but it felt too awkward, although I'm not sure why.
