People get extremely judgmental about parenting choices: breastfeeding, discipline, circumcision, diapers, sleeping arrangements.
Yerp, and about the choice between having children and not having children.
I'm Skippy McSkimmer, so I won't respond to any particular post, but I just need to say, as a parent, the whole discussion about good vs bad parenting often strikes me as unproductive. Unhelpful. If anything, I think all the ideological baggage dumped onto parents gets in the way of discussing parenthood and parenting. It's such a loaded set of issues.
I just want to be the good enough mother. That's all I can be, I'm never gonna be the perfect mother. Honestly, I think most of the time I veer between loving parenthood and feeling like I have to struggle just to keep the chaos at bay. But hey, my mom was the good enough mother, and I think she was a wonderful mom.
I think ShoeGoo would stop it from clicking, but you'd still want to be careful walking - torque from coming down on the heel at an angle might still rip it loose.
With the caveat that I haven't tried it on a loose heel, just flappy soles.
Somebody just said it's snowing in Westwood! Dude!

No. Way.
Screw global warming, we may need to start bracing for the next ice age.
Scarier than Google alone? Google leading you to Amazon wishlists which let you know that friends have (fear my vaguely topicality and such!) a baby now.

My old hill in Echo Park would be perfect for a slalom.
Angel, you have plenty to unlive for. You have friends that care about you...
Jilli, did you know there was a Flickr photo group called Beautiful Decay?
Now that's gothic.
This would make a good book cover. (Lots of room for the title at the top too.)
Gorgeous shot in Budapest
