Up with the sun

How long is long enough to wait when you know that the unofficial notice/intervention has done as much good as pissing into the wind?

I would say a week.

Who's working on the boilerplate warning test? My proposal was just a quick draft -- I know there are people way better at that than I am.

Thrive to spite them

Michele, I'm confused on what points do you agree with Jim and what points do you agree with me?

Jim thinks we should just ignore her but let her stay.

I think we should issue a formal warning and if she continues her behaviour then supsend her.

Also I'm confused by the concept of "she can't seem to follow the rules but we should let her stay anyway."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also I'm confused by the concept of "she can't seem to follow the rules but we should let her stay anyway."

Me too.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Me three, but I don't think a week is too long to wait. (I kind of wish there weren't two new eps this week because of it, but, eh, timing.)

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Misha - You have no email address! Plus I doubt you need me to point out the obvious.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Also I'm confused by the concept of "she can't seem to follow the rules but we should let her stay anyway."

I think there's some disagreement as to whether "she's mostly incoherent" counts as following the rules or not. Some people clearly think that's a suspendable/bannable offense, while others don't.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

How about the fact that she's serial posting like it's going out of style in several different threads?

I agree the incoherence/serial posting is irritating, but I'm not sure we can warn or ban someone just for being annoying, as it doesn't break any specific rules.

I'm not arguing either way, just pointing out that there's a difference of opinion on the question that might not be completely evident.

At least for me, the incoherence/serial posting is waaay more annoying than her tendency to rudeness or the statements she's made about gay sex and Christianity.

Maybe so, but being rude is against the rules. Being incoherent ain't.

The serial posting toes the line, but it is starting to feel like spam in there.

And I still think we should give it a few days, if not a week.
