Thanks for all the fish.

While certainly people can comment on a person's posting style or content, and how they react to that, but it's really not a good idea to comment on a person's intent (positively or negatively) - because there really is no way for us to know that.

Our wings are not tired.

I'd really like to see this put to rest at this point.

Don't we have thread names to discuss or things to vote on? Hey, how about we go enjoy the other threads some?

Always Anti-fascist!

well, I'm not being tortured alone, put it to a vote first! Muhahaha. That would never happen...lost as it would be in discussions of whether vampire fangs could bite through acryllic socks, how nice Wesley would look wearing just a sock, and cross-cultural sock comparison.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My suggestion, such as it was, was for Official cluesticking to try to sort things out, rather than to whap someone over the head. Opening a dialogue, rather than slapping someone's wrist.

So far, we've had two problem posters, and both were, IMO, given ample time and opportunity to sort things out before any official action was taken. Channels of dialogue were more than open. (In Zoe's case, they still are.)

I don't think that part of the system's broken. We are all moderators here.

I also think that since the official warning to Zoe has already gone out, there's really nothing more to discuss about her "case." The problem may have already been solved.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I've deleted my last post, since it really is spectacularly unhelpful.

As you were.

Up with the sun

It seems that my suggestion sucked, and would turn us into a police state moderated forum, which really wasn't my intention

FWIW, I don't think moderated forum = police state at all. Moderated fora are just ... moderated fora. Table Talk is moderated, and I don't think any Buffistas ever complained about that, because it was a sane moderation. I think that's the model we should keep in mind, not a TWoP-at-its-worst gulag.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

how nice Wesley would look wearing just a sock

Ooh. Okay, we could definitely discuss that. For, like, ever.

On a more serious note, I also emailed Zoe and have yet to receive a response. But I think we are talking this subject to undeath, and it's gonna rise from the grave to kill us all if we aren't careful.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

(Which doesn't excuse actions like Allyson's vicious attack on her either, and much less the later bragging. But that's another subject, so I'll just leave it at that).

Oh no, Paul. Let us discuss it. I would prefer not to leave it at that.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

how nice Wesley would look wearing just a sock

Of course, I picture him wearing this Red Hot Chili Peppers style, instead of on his foot.

Any further musings on Wes, his sock and its placement I'll bring up in the Angel thread if they come to me. So that this board may have its peace for a few moments, at least.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Paul, before you bring up that hornet's nest, you should understand that Allyson's reaction was mild compared to the blinding fury that happened to settle on some of us queers when shit about gay sex being icky came up with us Standing Right There.

What Allyson managed to do was defuse some of us before we went completely, totally, and insanely postal.

Consider it the lesser of evils, because you don't even want to know some of the responses to that post that went through my head.
