I'd be in favour of a politics thread; I'm presuming flame-free doesn't mean vigorous-disagreement-free, and I think a thread where the conversation was a bit more robust than Natter would actually be quite good. (Although it would probably end up being mostly American politics, but I can live with that.)

Bureaucracy 1: Like Kafka, Only Funnier
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

I've got a question: when I click on message center shouldn't I get a list of only those threads I'm subscribed to?
But no - I got the Atlantic Monday Madness thread - - I'm SOOO not subscribed to that!!!
Is that the way it's supposed to work?
I'm presuming flame-free doesn't mean vigorous-disagreement-free
Correct. I just won't stick around in a thread where my beliefs are belittled--I consider that a flame. Disagreed with? Bring it on. *g*

Hey! Do I smell?
Hey! Do I smell?
You do smell, but I don't think you stink.
You do smell, but I don't think you stink.
On which note, yesterday was Samuel Johnson's birthday. (Ever the advocate of proper English, and an infrequent bather, he once responded to a woman complaining "Sir, you smell" with "No madam, you smell. I stink.")
I don't want those kind of Spoilers - - no offense to any Atlantic Canadians intended.
Sumi, Alibelle says she has to log off and log back on again for her subs changes to show up. Does that work for you?
shouldn't I get a list of only those threads I'm subscribed to?
I get that thread (and a couple of others I'm not subbed to) showing up on the message center, but when I go through on Read New it skips them. Doesn't bother me to have them there, I can see where other centers of activity are.
I hadn't subscribed in the first place. . .
Do I just automatically get all threads in "message center"?
