Betsy, his profile address is [Edit: deleted] (his name is Brian T).

[Edit: is it OK to post that? The e-mail address? Should I link to it instead, or something?]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Nilly is magic.

If I only had a brain...

I'll drop him a note. It's a classic.

You should probably delete the addy from your posting now; I've got it.

Just to return to the former topic for a minute post, I'm glad that the heretical delay in posting the results actually seems like a good thing. They will be posted Saturday night, board time.

That's good news. I was worried too many people would be turned off.

Yeah, I thought so too. For the record, I was one of the last-est people to vote on the former ballot - I was trying to read as much as I could before voting, to know the reasons people posted for and against each option. I waited until the 'last minute' in order to catch up as much as I could.

how about a year's holiday in England?

Am-Chau, I wish.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

BTW, have we all realised that we're all going to this effort just as the show is about to end? It tickles . . . .

Maybe Nilly's extra day of vote counting will be just the necessary tonic.

And on the Seventh day the Buffistas did rest, and there was much peace and harmony throughout Buffistaland.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Actually, that's a good reason to go through this process now. We're going to have to make some big decisions as to the future direction of this board...

In order to keep this thread from going 12 hours without a post, I was going to post a lengthy opinion piece on the recent discussions. But as a courtesy to skimmers I shortened it to highlight just the fighting words:

Quorum ..... Representation ..... Majority ..... Moratorium ..... Australiiiiiia ..... Deathmatch ..... Voter Turnout ..... Abstension ..... Discussion ..... Ballot ..... Policy ..... Consensus ..... Monkey ..... Preference ..... Headache

IJS.

Thanks for all the fish.

I was going to turn that list of fighting words into something porny, but then I realised that it would involve monkeys, and that's just wrong.
