Yeah, I could do that, but I'm paralyzed with not caring very much.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

So, we patched up the lack of blurb on Press by ita's reposting it in ita "Sunnydale Press" Mar 2, 2003 4:32:15 pm EST. Maybe in time we'll show the sidebar blurbs at the top of each page.

Shrift, maybe you can just post your announcements in the lower-profile show threads. If you do stop posting announcements totally, announce it with one last link for us to bookmark.

Problem with that is that I'm on a tape delay, which is why you'll hardly ever see me in the show threads. By the time I see the episodes, I'm usually about 3,000 posts behind. (Hell, I had to speed read the 900 message threadsuck of Bureaucracy, and now my eyes are thinking of mutiny.)

I'll mull it over for a few days before I decide anything.

Nobody

shrift - If you ever want me to announce anything for you, anywhere, please let me know (profile address is fine) and I'll do it as discreetly as you'd like. I really value your site. It's a fantastic resource.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Actually, the show threads seem to be the higher profile threads here as far as the world of ME fandom is concerned. Press is probably the better place to do it, because the announcements can get lost among all the posts in the show threads, are probably less likely to be seen by non-regulars if they're in Press, and keeps shrift spoiler free. And if she doesn't want to announce them at all, I have no problem with that. As she said, it's her site, and her ass that's on the line (leather clad though it may be).

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I think it's fine, shrift, if you don't want to keep posting announcements. I suspect most of us who read your site check in regularly anyway. It was just convenient that you posted. Low profileness, and thus, longevity, wins out.

Shrift, another option is to go mailing-list only for the announcements. FWIW.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Wow! At least a two-thirds majority on every ballot question.

Elena - Mar 02, 2003 10:09:32 pm PST #6147 of 10001
Thanks for all the fish.

So we have voted to have

1) voting
2) a 'quorum'
3) a simple majority
4) discussion limited to 4 days and voting to 3 days (holidays permitting)

Next questions are, I guess, deciding what our 'quorum' should be.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thank you so much, jengod!

Next questions are, I guess, deciding what our 'quorum' should be.

Definitely one of the first questions. Might be good to bring back Sophia's list again, pare that down until we see the obvious next steps. Let's try to focus on one element at at time, and spend some time ordering what things need to be decided.

Thank you everybody for participating in creating the ballot, and voting.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I'll pst the list tomorrow am.

Also, the 2 direct things from this vote that still need to be decided are the quorum and whether or not the discussion is closed once voting begins.
