Now, since I voted to test the form and again for real whoever is counting might see me twice!
Nope. Your first vote went to me, before I finalized the form with the correct "to:" email address.
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

But nice try, Laura.
appears at the end of both 3 and 4.
Thanks. It's been fixed. Also, Sophia, I edited your voting instructions to put an email subject in the mailto link. Sorry if I was overly stompy.
Trudy, if it is a small bunch of people with the anti-issue, it'll come out in the vote, and what's the loss?
Nothing wrong with voting per se, but there is the implication of "it's broken" by having the vote if there isn't much discussion to the contrary.
So I'm being contrary ;-)
Honestly, by the third time something I was against comes up, I bow out because I feel like a harpy. Which is also what I feel like when I'm agitating for something I'm pro.
If it's something you think is hugely significant you'd stay in, wouldn't you?
Trudy-- I am also thinking of it (and the WX thread tells a better story of how we moved into this than this thread, IMO.) as us argueing to a consensus, and then voting to make sure that no one is misreading the consensus.
Yeah, I lurked over in WX (well, caught up because my schedule didn't happen to agree with the discussion time) and I think a lot of the discussion over there was people really venting. I think we needed to vent (and that the tabling the issue for a few days was a good call). I think the current calmer is better and, well, more Buffista.
Just taking the opportunity to a) say that I think we have been successful as is; b) see who agrees with me; and c) suggest that it's the time frame that needs addressing rather than the method it's self.
I just hit the quotables thread.
And thanks for your PoV, Trudy. I think it's important to hear opinions from as many Buffistas as possible.
I just suffered from premature tabulation. Unless that was midnight Eastern time.
Okay, I thought it was board time.
Midnight board time, actually.
So, what time is board time? I thought the time on the posts (EST) is board time. I've always thought that. That's the time on the posts.
t /confused
Board Time is Eastern Time is the Time on your posts.
I am Nillying the WX discussion.
