I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Trudy, if it is a small bunch of people with the anti-issue, it'll come out in the vote, and what's the loss?

Nothing wrong with voting per se, but there is the implication of "it's broken" by having the vote if there isn't much discussion to the contrary.

So I'm being contrary ;-)

Honestly, by the third time something I was against comes up, I bow out because I feel like a harpy. Which is also what I feel like when I'm agitating for something I'm pro.

If it's something you think is hugely significant you'd stay in, wouldn't you?

Trudy-- I am also thinking of it (and the WX thread tells a better story of how we moved into this than this thread, IMO.) as us argueing to a consensus, and then voting to make sure that no one is misreading the consensus.

Yeah, I lurked over in WX (well, caught up because my schedule didn't happen to agree with the discussion time) and I think a lot of the discussion over there was people really venting. I think we needed to vent (and that the tabling the issue for a few days was a good call). I think the current calmer is better and, well, more Buffista.

Just taking the opportunity to a) say that I think we have been successful as is; b) see who agrees with me; and c) suggest that it's the time frame that needs addressing rather than the method it's self.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I just hit the quotables thread.

And thanks for your PoV, Trudy. I think it's important to hear opinions from as many Buffistas as possible.

So, what time is board time? I thought the time on the posts (EST) is board time. I've always thought that. That's the time on the posts.
