I'm for keeping #4.
I do too Jon-- it is just so hard to tell if people haven't said anything because they don't care, or because they haven't seen anything.
I would assume B, if only because it forces us to be the most circumspect.
Deena, if #4 stays on the ballot, then currently voting and duration of debate & vote are two separate items. You can vote for the one and against the other.
When and who is doing the APB?
I'd keep number four, and extend voting, maybe into the weekend. Also for spamming the threads. For the time being we can continue discussion in here while voting is open, for anyone who wants to.
I also tend to think that the majority of registered users will be affected very little, if at all, by the kind of thing we're going to be deciding.

Me, too, but I till feel a bit like there are people who are not necessarily against voting, but against talking about it.
Anyhoo.
it is a horrible time to spam Buffy with the news(show staring in 6 minutes) unless we do it wuick. Or are we aiting to spam until the voting is open (oh ita?)

Anyone who's against voting can, just this once, vote. And vote against it, and if there are enough of them, So Shall It Be.
I just caught up with all this. Huge thanks to everyone for all their hard work. I'll be voting.
All of this reminded me of a quote from John Ralston Saul:
I think we've forgotten the energy which it required [...] our fathers and our mothers and our grandparents and our great-grandparents to put in place the basic structures of Australian and Canadian democracy such as the public education system. They fought very hard for that, it didn't come from the top, it came from throughout society, and you don't get to keep things in democracies just because you've got them, you get to keep them because you continue struggling and fighting, giving enormous amounts of your time, boring yourself to death at meetings, trying desperately to get along with people [...]
It is boring sometimes, but at the same time it's very moving, to me at least, that the work gets done.
John!!
Hi John!!!
