It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

Thrive to spite them

We could make one massive Announcement for the first vote and stress that all future announcements for voting will be made in Press Only.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think we should make an announcement now of the discussion. In that announcement we should say that the re-tooled proposal (if any re-tooling is needed) and the vote will be announced in Press, AS WILL ANY SUBSEQUENT ANNOUNCEMENTS EVER.

From the first minute of Wednesday Burrell - until the first minute of Saturday. 12 am in both cases. Midnight is technically the first minute of the morning of the next day. I don't know how else to explain it to you. Voting can take place during all 24 hours of Wednesday, all 24 hours of Thursday, and all 24 hours of Friday.

I think the post in press of the link to the proposal should probably have waited until we had the voting procedure ironed out then.

Are we not going to wait for Jon's form?

Also - am in favor of the APB this time.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I'd say 3 days is still likely to suck for people & like Liese would prefer a full week to vote.

Note that one of the questions you'd be voting on this time is how long the discussion and voting periods will be in all subsequent votes.

You must have missed my post upthread -- Don't wait for me! If I get a form done, I'll announce it.

Are you calling me a skimmer, Jon? I resemble that.

Okay -

Last call for tweakage to the motion. Then I suggest we post the motion this one time here and Press, Natter and wherever else people think it's appropriate, along with a sample ballot, the email address and instructions.

Dana rocks. Dana just send a test message to votes@buffistas.org

It looks like this:

Username: Dana

Item 1: VOTING

Yes.

Item 2: QUORUMS

No.

Item 3: SIMPLE MAJORITY

Yes.

Item 4: Discussion and Voting Period Time Limits

Yes.

This is close to perfect. For readability, if you all could, I'd prefer:

Username: Dana

1.) VOTING: Yes.
2.) QUORUMS: Yes.
3.) SIMPLE MAJORITY: Yes.
4.) DISCUSSION AND VOTING PERIOD TIME LIMITS: Yes.

If things are all on one line there is much less room for mistake or miscontruing or error. If that's okay with everybody else...

You're counting 'em, sweetie.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Now everyone knows what I voted!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. I feel like a doof for not asking before, but does the "week discussion" mean that discussion continues during the voting, or is it that the decision process takes a week (4 talk, 3 vote days)?
