That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Call me elitist, but if folks can't be bothered to read a thread labelled "General Announcements" then that's their loss.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

vote@buffistas.org

juliana, personally, my reflex is that people that care about boring voting and stuff are the sort that read press or bureaucracy.

But there may be a smidge of defensiveness there. No, not really. Lots of people don't care, and that's just fine. I'm just leaning towards an assumption I think is efficient.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I know Jon, and I sort of feelthat way, too. But they could think it is general announcements of buffy stuff and not care, or something. I just want anyone who care to be able to say we told them. Even if we just went in with a PSA that they should read Press.

Up with the sun

I still am counting 48 hours for the vote. Am I that bad at math?

Burrell, 12 a.m. Wednesday, Feb 26 to 12 a.m. Saturday, March 1. 72 hours.

That's not in Cindy's post (the one linked to in the Press) nor is it made explicit in the discussion that follows.

FWIW, Jesse posted it right after Liese's post that you referenced, when I asked the same question: Jesse "Bureaucracy 1: Like Kafka, Only Funnier" Feb 25, 2003 1:33:02 pm EST

I agree an APB this once couldn't hurt.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

thanks for clarifying, ita (about the email addy).

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I agree an APB this once couldn't hurt.

...with a line saying "don't do APBs as a general rule, that's what Press and That Other Topic The Name Of Which I Can't Remember are for!

(Damn. Press and... eh, y'all know what I'm talking about.)

I scrolled back, and it's been mistyped just about every time.

I'll go set up both addresses to point to jengod then.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm just leaning towards an assumption I think is efficient.

It is efficient and logical, and people really should be reading the Announcements. However, this is a massive proposal. In such cases, I'm always in favor of overannouncing.

YAMV, and I won't complain either way.

So the vote ends Sat midnight, not Friday. So my math still works, which is some comfort. I'd say 3 days is still likely to suck for people & like Liese would prefer a full week to vote. I sometimes don't check in for a couple days at a time, and I'm one of the more active members.

Also, I'm more than happy to do it if people agree on the one-time APB but don't want to be bothered.
