Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But if no one discusses it, the thread isn't clogged. We're talking 4 days of resounding silence, is all. I just foresee a lot of lobbying for support clogging bureaucracy instead.

edit: damn, can't I get one of these off without an edit?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

But if no one discusses it, the thread isn't clogged. We're talking 4 days of resounding silence, is all.

or else four days of arguing about whether it's worth even bringing up.

I personally favour it. If it's an issue that's worth discussing, I don't see any problem in getting five or ten people to endorse it being put up.

Up with the sun

I could live with five as a compromise.

Edit: Do we know yet how we're going to vote on all this? A ballot with check boxes would seem to make the most sense, but I don't know if a)that would be a poll and b) it would clog the server too much.

It's already been brought up, is my thing. Someone says "I want the Orli feet thread." Admin opens discussion. There is no discussion. There's a vote. Resounding defeat.

My fear is someone says "I want the Orli feet thread -- who's with me so I can get it to the discussion thread?" and then we have interminable discussion about what a terrible idea it is, but the stalwart four keep bring it up for months. Because they can, because it will never be tabled or moratoriumed, or whatever.

I do think the question of how we're going to vote on all this needs to be decided

Did the e-mail option get tossed?

Up with the sun

Can we do this by email? It seems there are a lot of seperate components to it, so it'd be harder to tally than yes/no.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That is a great point, ita.

I guess we can deal with the clogging if and when it happens.

Also, I was planning on bringing "The List" from WX over here, but I don't want to be proposing every single thing on it.

Visilurking

How about 5, and if that ends up being too few we can raise it, and if it's too many we can lower it. 5 to start.

I think Lyra means as separate line items or as one full proposal to which you will vote no if you don't like any part of it.

The poll problem still stands, though -- Mr. Poll doesn't cut it, and rolling our own is going to take time and effort.

If you make a post with multiple choice suggestions, I'd just copy and paste it into an e-mail and indicate which option I'm picking for each portion.
