FWIW, I do enjoy it when West Coasters jot down their immediate reactions as the episode goes on and post that. Not as much fun as posting live, but still fun to read.
I don't believe I've posted "live" more than once in the past. Maybe I should try it tonight.
I just went there now, and got this warning:
Well, fuck. There's absolutely nothing in there (titles or images) that could be construed as anything other than G-rated.
I have no problem stepping back for an hour and letting the West Coasters do their watch and post in the main thread. Plus those of us farther east can be like the Atlantic Canadians and watch and guess where they are.
I would want to post my reactions right away after Buffy if I saw it in real time. A lot of people don't even want to wait that long. If West Coast Watch-n-Post makes people feel like their immediate post-ep reactions will be drowned out for an hour, that would be a good argument for a separate watch and post thread (instead of just a Nilly marker at the start of post-ep reactions).
Do a lot of people use Nillytown? (maybe a hit-counting question) Or is skipping and skimming practiced mostly in Natter?

I don't mind yielding the floor for the watch n post, but discussion would then have to wait until the next day for us because most of the east coast is in la la land by the time the lefties finish watching. In other words, it probably just needs to stay the way it is.
I know this has been shot down before, but I could really get behind a watch-and-post thread. That solves the "my realtime is not your realtime" problem nicely.
One issue is there'd have to be a couple of watch-n-post threads, right? One for eastern and central, one for pacific. (Sorry, erika! I think you're all alone in mountain time, right?)
Amy and I are in Mountain Time. I don't think she does the watch and post, and I watch via tape anyway because I don't get off work till 10.
