most people in Israel who don't observe the sabbath can't keep up with its schedule.
Let alone people with a 12-hour time difference.
Could we do midnight Pacific time on the Saturday the week after the ep airs? For example, we could discuss this week's Buffy in the Angel thread on March 2, and as of right now the last episodes we could post about would be the 2/5 Angel and 2/4 Buffy. Plenty of time for tapes to make their way thru the mail, but not so much time as to cause major problems discussing crossovers and the like.
Oh, and superfluous nagging: when will we open the movies thread?
You know what's even quirkier about it? That it'll be a different hour every week!
Oh, how I don't like this. It will make me still not to mention the shows in threads because I'll never be certain that it's safe.
We have a thread title. We have no slug or description.
I'm entirely not suggesting a vote, but I'm not writing them, nor creating the thread without them.
Okay, here's a quick shot at them.
Slug: Movies and Oscars and Foamies --oh my! The Buffistas go Hollywood.
Description: A place to talk about anything from the classics to current cinema, as well as the central spot for the Buffista Movie awards. And watch for the Mighty Oscar Watch-n-Post in March.
We should also work out (oh please god no more) whitefont rules for the Movies thread.
I vote we whitefont plot details until two weeks after wide release, like the Ovies forum does.
I for one will not be devoting precious memory space to figuring out the exact date that I can stop white fonting the other show. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm fine with not white fonting Angel in Buffy and vice versa, don't get me wrong, I'm just saying we can debate all we want about the right "date" for episodes to fall out of spoiler font, but I don't think it'll matter. We either white font or we don't. Figuring out dates will quickly become to cumbersome to remember, unless it is clear and straightforward, like Saturday midnight EST the week the show airs.
Two weeks like Ovies seems fair.
I like those, Lyra, though I half wonder if we shouldn't mention the hobbits.

The hobbits have their own thread. They'll be okay.
