Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I like Jesse's suggestion for the Natter strategies. A lot. However I don't think we need a whole section on fake html tags in the FAQ since it is already in the quick-edit pop-up window.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I only suggest it because it is, in fact, a question that is asked frequently on the threads. I also notice people not asking, but yet not using the quick-edit -- doing work-arounds with brackets and shit.

(edit: I wasn't trying to sound snotty there, I swear.)

I know you weren't! My goodness, Jesse, I didn't take it the wrong way at all. I even see why you suggest it. It's true, people keep asking, but I am presuming that's because it's folks who migrated over from WX and so they mistakenly think that our quick-edit tips are the same as at WX.

I just thought it was a lot of space to devote to information that can be found elsewhere as well. But hey, no biggie. Especially since it's already composed and all. ;-)

Just one of those re-reading things: "Oh no! Did I sound like that?" Heh.

I'm not committed to what I put up there, god knows. But see, we save the space where the quick-edits are listed in the FAQ!

This is not the same as doing meara.

Bwhahahahahahahah! Thank god. Or, well, maybe not...I'd be done a lot more if every time the Buffistas "did a meara" they also did me.

So, does anyone else have any feelings about my proposed FAQ additions? Yea or nay? I'm good either way.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

This may be a dumb request, but would it
be possible to add "How to make a link" to the other html tricks in the how-to section?

I don't think Sheryl is talking about the FAQ with this, although I am in agreement with the FAQ issues. I think that she wants it added to the pop-up that comes up when you hit "HTML" right above the postin box. Which I would REALLY love too! I keep the "pretty link" in a simple text document to cit and paste, but I would rather have it there.

Also, when I go on a natter diet, I also include Bureacracy and Build a better Board, as that makes me feel i still am an active member of the community. I was so surprised to see I have only made about 200 posts to this board, as I was one of the top natterers when John H was doing the stats.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

I think they're brilliant, Jesse.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Well...I did mean the How-to link, but this would work, too.
