Harken: You fought with Captain Reynolds in the war? Zoe: Fought with a lot of people in the war. Harken: And your husband? Zoe: Fight with him sometimes, too.

Bureaucracy 1: Like Kafka, Only Funnier

A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Holy CRAP! I forgot that I have a donation from someone who wants to be all anonny-mouse. Must get that done tonight.

As for thread proliferation, I think that since Buffistas have doubled in size, maybe there is a need for an Alias thread. I mean. There's still a Firefly thread, folks. Show's done.

Has Natter slowed at all due to having a music thread?

Perhaps a NAFDA general television thread will help determine which shows are justified in having their own thread.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

It will go towards Jesse getting to asskick Kendra's dialect coach.

And, of course, board maintenance.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Perhaps a NAFDA general television thread will help determine which shows are justified in having their own thread.

That's not a bad idea. At any rate, I'd like to see a General TV thread first, before we start adding new individual show threads.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The money goes entirely to the board, since I'm going to asskickhave stern words with the coach for free.

See how giving I am?

You're too good for us, ita.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A general TV thread would be a good place for spontaneous watch 'n posts to happen.

t God, I hate you, Allyson.

Like I need reality to rear it's ugly head in my message boards.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Has Natter slowed at all due to having a music thread?

Not that I've noticed, which is one argument against thread proliferation. As people might have noticed, we talk. A lot. In pretty much every space available.

Cindy - Jan 27, 2003 5:39:41 pm PST #3741 of 10001
Nobody

Or it's an argument in favor of measured proliferation. In other words, it proves that the conversations were desirable to a group of posters, but that adding the thread, hasn't taken away from Natter. By the way, I don't think anyone's asked for a thread for every show we (collectively) watch.

Up with the sun

Hey, Allyson? Could I ask a slightly impudent question? Because I feel like I got off on a bad foot with you and Kristen, and I think that's partially due to lack of context -- I've gathered that you and Kristen were both important somehow on the Bronze boards, but there seems to be some sort of story about what you did there that makes you important in fandom and connected to ME staff, and I don't know that. Could I have the reader's digest version, please? Thanks.

(sorry for the off-topicness.)
